Change

Laughter fills the nursery.
Sobs saturate the morgue.
Winds blow across the seas.
Rivers outrun fatality.
And yet, everything has changed.

The sparrows sing at dawn.
The crickets chirp at dusk.
The wolves howl at the moon.
The monsters lurk in the dark.
And yet, everything has changed.

Hearts flutter at the slightest touch.
Souls wander at the edge of oblivion.
Time flies forward.
Minds travel backward.
And yet, everything has changed.

He looks at her,
She looks back.
She smiles at him,
He smiles back.
And yet,
Everything has changed.
